Prescription Charge Card

The prescription charge is re-evaluated and comes into effect in April every year and, if there is a price change, PSNC produces a prescription charge card to assist pharmacies in communicating this change to patients.

The NHS Prescription Charge in England will be set at £7.85 as of 1st April 2013. However, the costs for pre-payment certificates are to remain the same: £29.10 for 3 months and £104.00 for 12 months.

PSNC's new charge card will be distributed to all pharmacy contractors in England and Wales via the March 2013 edition of Community Pharmacy News (CPN) and is also available by downloading from the link below.
