Class 2 MHRA medicines recall – Oxylan 40mg prolonged-release tablets (G.L.Pharma)

The Medicines and Health products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has issued a class 2 medicines recall for:

Oxylan 40mg prolonged-release tablets (G.L.Pharma) PL 21597/0064 Batch 9F119A

GL Pharma is recalling the above batch of Oxylan 40mg prolonged-release tablets due to out of specification results for dissolution obtained during routine stability testing.

Advice for healthcare professionals

  • Stop supplying the above batch immediately and remove from the shelves within your pharmacy. Quarantine all remaining stock and return it to your supplier using your supplier’s approved process
