New learning approaches for pharmacy technicians

New learning approaches for pharmacy technicians

April 13, 2022

The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) has developed some new learning approaches for pharmacy technicians.

Firstly, they have launched Pharmacy technician impact groups, which are small group sessions for those who would like to develop their skills and confidence further. Employers support is essential for attendance at the learning sets and for workplace development.

There will be six impact groups running in 2022, starting in June and July 2022.

Secondly, they are offering Myers Briggs Type Indicator® online workshops for pharmacy technicians for pharmacy technicians to understand personality types and their own preferences. This will support them in building working relationships, interactions with patients and their own development of their leadership style.

CPPE is running these workshops in May, June, July, and September 2022.

Both of these are open to any pharmacy technician providing or supporting the provision of NHS services in England in any sector of practice. They are both also designed to complement CPPE’s Pharmacy technicians: enhancing your professional practice e-course.
