Following an email survey and a review of seasonal influenza (flu) service specifications and other associated documents, PSNC has conducted an analysis on the different flu vaccination services commissioned across England during the 2014/15 flu season. This PSNC Briefing provides a summary of this analysis which may be of particular interest to LPCs developing proposals for a seasonal flu vaccination service in their area or those who are reviewing their existing seasonal flu vaccination service for the 2015/16 flu season.

The total number of influenza vaccines administered in community pharmacies under the commissioned  influenza vaccination service 2014/15 was 232,388 (please note this figure does not include influenza vaccines administered under private services).
