This PSNC Briefing summarises the changes being made to the Medicines Use Review (MUR) service in 2014/15 and it covers the re-commissioning of the New Medicine Service (NMS).

N.B. – since the publication of this PSNC Briefing, it has been agreed that the new target group for MURs covering patients with cardiovascular risk factors will be introduced from 1st January 2015. Additionally pharmacy contractors will not need to increase the proportion of MURs falling within target groups until April 2015.
